Qwart brings a whole new concept to the world of rider safety
Qwart is a new, unique helmet for the motorcyclist who wants to be different. The new lid is both adaptable and stylish. It’s the world’s first customisable helmet. The company’s development laboratory is based in the sunny south-west of France, home to one of Europe’s most vibrant custom bike and cafe racer communities.
Its founder and chief designer, Xavier Marigo wanted to create a helmet that reflected the motorcycle lifestyle, but for the motorcyclist who doesn’t like being told what’s good for them. At the same time, his Qwart helmets needed to offer optimum protection. To that end the Phoenix is certified to ECE2205.
It’s been constructed with a shell of 100 per cent pure carbon fibre. This allows it to weigh in at only 1190 grams for the full face Phoenix model. There is a choice of lining options with either suede or leather, together with variety of colour choices. The interior has a two-density EPS lining, which also comes with a choice of visors.
The chin guard has three layers of protection: carbon fibre, space void and soft PU material. But it’s also a versatile helmet for a range of situations, whether urban streets or open roads. The new Pheonix is available in two versions, namely ‘Slick’, which comes without a visor, and the ‘Std’ which comes with a visor, and both are available in a range of sizes all the way from ‘teeney weeney’ XS (53-54cms) to ‘farmers son’ XL (61cms).
Qwart’s modular design also makes it easy to customise the helmet as the seasons change or to reflect your changing requirements. Just like an art print, Qwart helmets are individually shipped with a certificate of authenticity dated and signed by the designer! Qwart helmets have been five years in design and development, from initial conception to first production and now, thanks to www.dot4distribution.com, these more than desirable helmets are available in Ireland.
